The local people are more than friendly and you should not miss the drive through the local villages for a taste of local made wine and food. For a special meal try Cardo fish restaurant in the lovely old town of Porec, excellent food, service and local wines. And while you are in Istria make sure you try some of the local specialities in one of the Poreč taverns.

The food is Italian in influence and there are some great places to eat, with pasta, pizza, grilled fish and salads widely served together with delicious local specialities.
